& your soul is all i ever wanted

yeah yeah yeah I'm not supposed to be blogging. But i can't help it!! oh no T.T ramble syndrome kicking in, plus fear-of-short-term-memory....

well what I wanna say:

watched marriage of figaro!! hahahaha, quote line: FOOLISH MEN, OPEN YOUR EYES!!! from figaro. Basically the script was really witty! music...soso, singing, soso, as han ren put it, only the white lady (aka countess) was good, although the singing was better in the 2nd half after they'd warmed up i think. We all agree it was a great critique of the feudal system then. han ren kept complaining that the orchestra was out of tune. hahaha. jap and I kept repeating the script. we all agreed it was pretty draggy, and for eg picture this:

Man: Forgive me!!
Lady: no!!!!!
Man: Forgive me, My love!!!!
Lady: nooo!!!
Man: oh light of my heart!! oh my sweet love!!!! I beg your forgiveness (now on knees)
Lady: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

haha. something like that.

oh and my dad come down for the Parent Teacher meeting and for the US exhibition. he talked to yaya during the PT wait for our PD tutor. and she was totally making noise abt someone. haha. my dad was shocked, and even talked about it during dinner with my relatives here (gosh) but mainly I was quite happy, Ms Chai and Mr Cheng are v nice!! and US fair was good, went for some children walk with han ren and jap before that, and there was this TOTALLY ADORABLE little kid, was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute i think the whole crowd just thought he was adorable!! yeah, imagine this bunch of kids playing musical chairs with the boys as chairs and the girls as chair grabbers. my theory that the biggest in size would win was eventually proven right!! muahaha.

US exhibition- OMG. i wanna go US NOW!!!! practically DYING to go there!! *sobs* i can't say what I am doing here, cz as my dad has pointed out countless times: I CHOSE TO COME TO SINGAPORE. fish and fiddlesticks and octopus. to the majority of the nice people I've met here: thank goodness I met you!!! haha it is worth it =)

but I still wanna go US!!!!!!

SIGH. i'm totally addicted to solitare. how how how....

and my seniors are back in Sg, well, those who are going to NUS that is. Wah. pls come back to OH and play the piano!!!!!!!!!!

'I dreamt that I was composing a symphony....I had gone to my table to begin writing it down when I suddenly reflected: "If I write this part I shall let myself be carried on to write the rest. The natural tendency of my mind to expand the material is sure to make it very long...When the symphony is finished I shall be weak enough to allow my copyist to copy it out, and thus immediately incur a debt of 1,000 or 1,200 francs. Once the parts are copied I shall be harassed by the temptation to have the work performed; I shall give a concert in which, as is sure to be the case in these days, the receipts will barely cover half the expenses; I shall lose what I have not got; I shall want the necessaries of life for my poor invalid, and shall have no money for either myself or for my son's keep on board ship!"...I threw down my pen saying, "Bah! I shall have forgotten the symphony tomorrow." But the following night the obstinate symphony again presented itself...'
- Berlioz writing about a nightmare he had during the 1850s
