& your soul is all i ever wanted

Days go by...

Three days have past since my exam! It ended on Thursay, so you must be wondering why I am only blogging today...

Truth is, I have no idea myself. But brace yourself for a long....story.

Of course I've got a better approach, and that's to post a few events in the form of a photo gallery (courtesy of my darlin' camera) for your viewing pleasure! (And so you won't get bored reading as well)

I might as well start off with the cliche stuff, otherwise I'll have heaps of people going: SO, how was your promos? I'm getting more than enough of it from other friends, and its evident: We are ALL stressed. Seriously. Perhaps the promotional exams is a huge scam to whip our little brains into mush and watch us panic as we struggle to conform to a standard way of answering questions. Haha. But I'm blabbering. I felt my promos were... slightly better compared to my mid years, at least I shall be duely horrified if I fail GP, Bio, Chem or Physics (in that order). Math? *shudder* It's in a realm of near hopelessness, but I'm not overly distressed as I totally squashed and squeezed my brain juices inside out of the other four subjects. I did prep for Maths, don't get me wrong, but it turns out I prepped to early, and the former subjects erased about 70% of what I did. Oh well. Looks like a Maths Holiday is up for me this year.

Leaving the morbid thought of my results behind, I unfortumately cannot remember a shred of what I intended to blog about when I was quarentined from blogging, what a waste, but that's okay, I'll just stick to the happenings of the past 3 days. The on to the photo gallery, which will appear above this post.

Thursday: RELIEF after Physics ended (And I finished my paper!)...then I went to the Bright Hill temple in Bishan to soothe the frazzled neurons and give thanks for all the assistance and support I've been receiving the past few days from everyone! After that a lil trip to Esplanade Library, where it totally ROCKS. It rocks!! Haha. Okay that was a mite bit obsessive, but when a music lover is confronted with a huge CD collection, well, I was IMPRESSED. and I'll be counting the days to when Malaysia is going to have something similar. OR another option is to become really really rich and contribute to the founding of such a structure in Malaysia..Haha. of course, there'd have to be a rise in the love for the arts amongst Malaysians... Anyway thanks Siang Ee for bringing me there! Oh yeah, and I also read the New York Times for the first time, edition of 2 Oct 2005. And I loved it! Its SO deliciously thick and readable! And to top it off, there happened to be this diagram summarizing "The Blame Game" concerning New Orleans. What I found most amusing of all? Not the fact that Bill Clinton had NO accusary arrows pointing at him. (there was a comment on: We'd been working on such a system, but they demolished it, something around those lines) In fact, I found a little arrow going on a roundabout trip from George Bush to HIMSELF and just laughed to see it. I must say, I do respect his stance on taking the responsibility on himself, even if it was a tad bit late.

So much for Thursday. Hm, on Friday I CLEANED up my room, and it was MARVELOUS! Take a good look at the before and after pics I'll be pinning up here. especially my table. I can't say I'm proud that I can be such a slob, but when I'm in study mode, the entire focus of my life is to study. Yeap. So blame me not, I AM a teenager, and I DO realise the time I should clean up after myself. Cleaning took the whole day, and after that I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Ren Xin, Ying Lee's room mate. That is one great family movie! That's all I'll say.

Saturday, whirlwind of activity. I supposedly prepped for my SATS in the morning, and spent time reading in the afternoon. It a superb book Ying Lee gace me for my birthday: Nobel Prize Winner "One Man's Bible". As far as I've read it (it's pretty deep, takes time to read and understand) it concerns Communist China and a writer. It's real good, but for more mature readers. According to Ying Lee, "I saw the words 'China' and Communist and...hey this book has potential" Haha. But most of all I'll treasure this book 'cause of the short message she penned in it. Just as I love my "tuesdays with morrie" from Darell. Yeah, so, hint hint, if you'rebuying me a book, pen a message inside! Hahaha! And pray I haven't indulged myself and bought it yet. At night I went out with a whole Malaysian gang for dinner (group pic below) and it was rather novel to wait for guys for a whole 45 mins or so....pkus we ended up just changing the entire dinner plan from a new place in Marina Bay to *Sigh* Noochi in City Hall. Nonetheless it was quite good, so I shall not complain. My mum called me when I was window shopping with the girls, and said I deserved the break. I do love my mum's approval. Haha. However, I was more shocked/ amused when she asked me if it was okay if people read my blog. Hm. Initial confu-siong. Then she explained my cousin, Qi Lun had let my aunt read my blog, and apparently she read the post where I was freaking out over my dad dyeing his hair. (I was sorely disappointed when I saw the job, it was NOT what I expected, but definitely more of a relief to know its not that conspicuous.) Needless to say my aunt called my mum IMMEDIATELY. I really had a good laugh.

On that note, I simple HAVE to mention this (forgive me for digressing from the timeline) but I saw my dad's hair when I met him in the airport late September. He was on transit, and we had lunch together. Oh, and here's the highlight: Dad GAVE me this GORGEOUS sleek, pink and baby blue Ralph Lauren bag, with SCENT and body soap and moisturiser in it! OH GOSH! i was so THRILLED. I'm still thrilled. And I adore the scent. In fact I'm a teeny bit addicted to the nice smell. HAHA. My mum said she got a nice bottle too, and the fact is its so subtle it doesn't overpower you at first breath....well, I love it! Thanks Daddy!!

Anyway back to the timeline. Erm, yes, I had a good time on Saturday night, though I was a bit miffed by guy's indecision (Admittedly partially to entertain us girls). We took the MRT to Marina then back to City Hall, it was rather comic, thank goodness its only a few stops. teehee.

(man! that pose is SO unflattering! refering to myself fyi)

PS: we girls were a mite: OH gosh, we didn't have to bend down after all!

And as for today, I hung out with Adrian and Siang Ee....our gang would have been complete with Ying Lee, but she had to study for her last paper tomorrow (people taking my subject combination finished earliest for 4-subject takers). Thrashed out some controversial issues I shall discuss if i have the mood in the future, met common friends and ended up standing in a circle in Boarders and talking teenage nonsense. According to Adrian that's exactly what teenagers are supposed to do. Wander around aimlessly and talk. HAHAHAHA. no comment. And another point to note, Adrian is one perfect gentleman!!! YEAH, we met my hostel mate Mei Yan on the way back, and Adrian escorted the both of us all the way to the hostel glass doors. Nice of him isn't it? He's definitely a rare breed in this world!

Okie day, time to start uploading stuff for my photo gallery. Hope you enjoyed this post!

'I dreamt that I was composing a symphony....I had gone to my table to begin writing it down when I suddenly reflected: "If I write this part I shall let myself be carried on to write the rest. The natural tendency of my mind to expand the material is sure to make it very long...When the symphony is finished I shall be weak enough to allow my copyist to copy it out, and thus immediately incur a debt of 1,000 or 1,200 francs. Once the parts are copied I shall be harassed by the temptation to have the work performed; I shall give a concert in which, as is sure to be the case in these days, the receipts will barely cover half the expenses; I shall lose what I have not got; I shall want the necessaries of life for my poor invalid, and shall have no money for either myself or for my son's keep on board ship!"...I threw down my pen saying, "Bah! I shall have forgotten the symphony tomorrow." But the following night the obstinate symphony again presented itself...'
