ASEAN DANCE 2005I LOVED IT. yes I loved it!! cheers all around for the ASEAN Comm 2005!! it was a superb effort on many parts, and our dance was deemed a great success!! (cheers more - oh no, the singaporean cheering effect is getting into me!!) Better than last year as well (swells with pride) and not to mention the DJ was excellent! he played hits such as "don't funk with my heart" (black eyed peas), "move it" (madagascar), "who let the dogs out", "superstar", and heaps more for the fast dance. And for the slow dance, a few hits, one from air supply etc etc. On a more personal basis, it was a night of FIRSTS for me...so just gonna list them here:-First:1. slow dance experiencemy first slow dance ever was with my friend Adrian. Well, the initial plan to get people to come on the dance floor was that the ASEAN comm members would "fill in" the space first so poeple wouldn't be too shy about coming up to dance. anyway on the night itself me and a whole gang of comm members were teasing Adrian and daring him to dance with the MOE Officer present, Ms Gan. However, he was like, no no, I'd rather dance with you (me). So initially i was like, "Sure??" and he was "yeah, sure, if you want to"...so I made up my mind on the spot; "sure" and we went to the dance floor as first timers trying to bungle our way through dancing. HAHAHA. in the end we did get the hang of it, and we also managed to disturb Sean and Ying lee, who are the current target of Adrian's matchmaking efforts. After a while I decided Adrian had had sufficent practice to ask Ms Gan to dance, so I pushed him to it. MUAHAHAHAHA. In fact I kind of pushed Sean into doing a fast dance with Ying Lee as well...(i'm such a sadist) and i think after that he managed to ask her for a slow dance. so much for the dancing part.2. disco environment experienceNow I knon why people enjoy disco dancing, though my heels were killers.
3. received a rose from a guyHaha...from Adrian, and it was really nice of him to give me a nice pink rose ^^
by the way, I've got a whole bunch of roses on my bed. left overs. they're really gorgeous.
4. wore 3 inch heels from 4.20pm to 12.30ammain thing is, I've got a blister and the balls of my feet ache.
5. put on MASCARAtotally unheard of! but my friend and fellow comm member Chin Yen had some, so we prinked in the toilet and she let me use some. good experience.
i think that's about it....next post I'll blog about other things than my firsts, such as the experience in general and a criticism of the evening and what I think of slow dancing. yeah!!had a really good luxurious weekend...and the national day weekend is coming up so I guess another good week is on the way! oh yea, my bio common test is tomorrow, my goodness wonder what will happen to me!_happy k-chan, but one lil thing coulda made me the happiest girl in the world_
