A sweet taste of home life

Home life is sweet indeed. Well to people like me who are pretty attached to home life i guess.

So, my fleeting taste of home life today? My dad is here in Singapore for a few days. He arrived today, and my uncle Keat picked me up, and we went to buy dinner! Yay, I know where to eat if I go to Queensway now!! It was so near, darn I wish we had tried out walking yesterday, we aould have found that place where food is actually comparable to Malaysia! Anyway, I talked to my grandma, gazed with adoring eyes at my new cousin, played the piano with Pei Ying...and just enjoyed seeing my dad. (nostalgic)

Anyway, I should blog about this intresting senario this morning.

Christine got up early and played the piano. She found it quite theraputic, since she was playing Cristofori's dream, and got to really hit the octaves. Benjamin appeared after she'd been playing for an hour or so, and he borrowed her book. Hands aching, she settle down next to the piano to continue 'Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus'. A lil amusing incident occured, not advisable to state, and then enjoyed the lovely pieces Ben can play ^^ (happy of coz) After he'd left, she played one last piece and headed upstairs! (This is where the fun begins)

A hammer was totally non existant to her discovery so she nearly gave up hope of ever setting up her new 'rack' in time. Luckily, she spotted the heavy weight that czme with her lamp lying on the floor doing nothing. Insparation sruck, and lil miss began dilligently hammering metal poles and damaging the make shift tool she'd acquired. All the metal sounds were loud and noisy, so she grabbed her sarong to deafen the sound, forgetting of course, that by cushioning the impact, the force exerted to hammer in the poles was reduced. When she'd got everything together, and was by all means super pleased with herself, Christine was obviously horrified to find out the rack was too tall to slide under her table!! Out came all the original occupants of the underside of the desk and the grapple between a metal frame and a frustrated-to-the-extent-of-cynical amusement girl began.

Being the Venusian that she is, in times of trouble, she sought help in the form of Ying Lee, who eventually came up with a brilliant idea, invert the thing!! It only could fit 3 drawers, but the 4th oue could be placed on top, forming 4 compartments! So the day was saved by Ying Lee and Miss Christine commenced to further straightening up of her room.

The End

PS: looks like lotsa people are having trouble with my template. HAHAHAHAHA (though this is not the function of a blog with a purpose...)

'I dreamt that I was composing a symphony....I had gone to my table to begin writing it down when I suddenly reflected: "If I write this part I shall let myself be carried on to write the rest. The natural tendency of my mind to expand the material is sure to make it very long...When the symphony is finished I shall be weak enough to allow my copyist to copy it out, and thus immediately incur a debt of 1,000 or 1,200 francs. Once the parts are copied I shall be harassed by the temptation to have the work performed; I shall give a concert in which, as is sure to be the case in these days, the receipts will barely cover half the expenses; I shall lose what I have not got; I shall want the necessaries of life for my poor invalid, and shall have no money for either myself or for my son's keep on board ship!"...I threw down my pen saying, "Bah! I shall have forgotten the symphony tomorrow." But the following night the obstinate symphony again presented itself...'
