& your soul is all i ever wanted
Happy Wesak!!

A rapturous day this has been indeed!! (oh no, Yoda's influence is rubbing on! And just after one episode!!)

Okay lemme describe my gorgeous, absolutely superb weekend!! (my happy hormones are on high now)

On Friday I got my broadband application in!! Huzzah!! Next month I'll have internet access!!!!! No more typing bloggies in the study room!!

Then on Saturday was our ASEAN Comm organized Scavenger hunt, and I was sneezing the whole morning (all the more reason to make me stand by my desicion not to go running with da participants.) In the end, 5 of the Comm who were watching the goods decided it was too boring, so we lugged up about 80 bottles of New Water up to Plaza Singapura from Dhoby Ghaut, haha, and watched STAR TREK!! Now THAT was worth watching!! came out with my nose on the brink of seizure, so I eventually left early. I heard the participants had fun, of which I am very glad. And I ate McD for breakfast.

Wesak Dawn had me up at 6.00 am, and I woke YIng lee up at 6.15. Waited downstairs for June Ping, Pei Qi (hope I spelt that right) , Howard, Wei Zhen and Zheng Yang. We went to Bishan, where I bathed the Buddha statue for the first time! Not used to it but it was definitely interesting, Must dedicated merits tonight. After that we headed to Orchard for breakfast, Yong Tau Foo!! Boy, I loved the okra and mushroom!! Talk talk talk then Ying Lee, Zheng Yang and I headed for Kinokunya at about 10am, and stayed there until 4.30pm!! Shocking, but I read a fascinating book (dang, forgot the title) about the future in a sci-fi point of view. I think I might go back and read it again. Later had McD to fill our stomachs. Lol.

After McD (which I am going to get tired off soon) Esplanade was next in tow!! Since it was only about 6 when we got there we sat by a fountain and chatted after unsuccessfully trying to locate a grand piano....and then bumped into Chris, Darren and Billy, who were attending our school's Band and CO performance! After that on our way to Esplanade we saw Ying Lee's former classmate Jonathan. Gee whiz!! Anyway we ended up spending the evening under the stars, listening to music, singing and chatting. Lepaking in other words. Ying Lee and Zheng Yang had hot dogs after a while but I was just too full (and still am) Still ,we had pretty deep discussions, not so typical of teens I'd suppose.

Walked around, shared cotton candy, and then came back!! And that's the end to a perfect weekend, made more perfect that my nose is FINE now!! HURRAY!!

Very happy,
Christine

Happy wesak to all of you, anc may all your aspirations come true that you may walk the path and one day gain your final salvation. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu!

'I dreamt that I was composing a symphony....I had gone to my table to begin writing it down when I suddenly reflected: "If I write this part I shall let myself be carried on to write the rest. The natural tendency of my mind to expand the material is sure to make it very long...When the symphony is finished I shall be weak enough to allow my copyist to copy it out, and thus immediately incur a debt of 1,000 or 1,200 francs. Once the parts are copied I shall be harassed by the temptation to have the work performed; I shall give a concert in which, as is sure to be the case in these days, the receipts will barely cover half the expenses; I shall lose what I have not got; I shall want the necessaries of life for my poor invalid, and shall have no money for either myself or for my son's keep on board ship!"...I threw down my pen saying, "Bah! I shall have forgotten the symphony tomorrow." But the following night the obstinate symphony again presented itself...'
