& your soul is all i ever wanted
weekend

Yeap am here to describe my weekend. but first of all, why am i here? Well people, I just happened to skip Orientation today, because...yesterday... I FELL SICK.

Very opportune if you ask me. But it is not fun being sick. Especially when one sneezes throughout assembly (when the Christians here are expounding the message of Easter) Yeah, of all days I'm sick on Easter. No eggs nor bunnies for me though. Not that I could enjoy them, since I had a terrible headache during study time which only subsided after I ate a panadol (thanks Pei Ying!)

Anyway, all this has nothing to do with my weekend. It was actually the end of my weekend. I'm feeling better now, at least. Just don't have the energy to go to a polyclinic for an MC. Don't want my headache to return!

Okay, how did my weekend go? After 2 very boring days of Orientation 2, (yes I didn't enjoy myself as much as I did in Orientation 1) it was Good Friday! And believe it or not, I went with Ying Lee and Siang Ee to Bright Hill temple to - what else? study! Yeah it was pretty unexpected for me to see so many people there, realising that it IS Cheng Beng period (Tomb Sweeping Festival) so the people were going there to pray. After nearly comlpeting my protein notes, I sort of dragged Ying Lee along with me as we followed Sinag Ee, Adrian, Hwei San and Yoko to go hotel shopping!! Well, Ying Lee and I did need to buy a present anyway. On the way we somehow ended up Singing (yes, singing) choir-style, since both Ying Lee and Siang Ee are choir people, and Adrian, Yoko and I just followed along! We soon got Hwei San to sing with us...haha I wonder how many people thought we were nuts! For dinner I had Mos Burgers... sinfully delicious things that burnt a hole right thru my pocket, and after that I got back and watched a movie! Oh yeah, Constantine is a good movie!!

Saturday....I wasted away my norning doing goodness-knows-what (I can't remember at all) and in the afternoon i went to Bedok to do my research for my BM quiz. Gawd, I was so overwhelmed in the bus (poor Ru Xing was too) that we both got bus-sick and I dozed off in the library. All three of us (Ee Neng, a Merit award student was with us) were pretty overwhelmed by all the stuff, and we left at 4.30pm after borrowing books! Yay! Ru Xing was really nice to let me borrow a book, Journey to the West, which I just finished! Came back for dinner and at night I watched the Pacifier, hillarious at some points and totally worth watching.

Sunday...I went to the temple (as usual) and kinda missed Nian Neng, who's back in Penang. We skipped class to do some practice singing, with a guitar, and since I had unfortunately developed flu-like symptoms in the bus and had forgotten my medicine...ugh. Bad day. Choir practice left Siang Ee and Mae Yue astounded...haha. Won't say why. In fact, I wanna log off now, so just this last thing, if you wanna find out why Siang Ee and Mae Yue were astounded, open up this new blog site of Siang Ee's (free advertising of blogs courtesy of K-chan

'I dreamt that I was composing a symphony....I had gone to my table to begin writing it down when I suddenly reflected: "If I write this part I shall let myself be carried on to write the rest. The natural tendency of my mind to expand the material is sure to make it very long...When the symphony is finished I shall be weak enough to allow my copyist to copy it out, and thus immediately incur a debt of 1,000 or 1,200 francs. Once the parts are copied I shall be harassed by the temptation to have the work performed; I shall give a concert in which, as is sure to be the case in these days, the receipts will barely cover half the expenses; I shall lose what I have not got; I shall want the necessaries of life for my poor invalid, and shall have no money for either myself or for my son's keep on board ship!"...I threw down my pen saying, "Bah! I shall have forgotten the symphony tomorrow." But the following night the obstinate symphony again presented itself...'
