Great days!!

Oh yes, these have been great days!! Yesterday I had a stupendous class outing, and the day before was another great day!! Anyway I shall start with why Tuesday was a great day...

Well....on Tuesday morning...as I was napping (blush) i received an sms from my friend Siang Ee! He got 7 for his O-Levels (wow huh?). Anyway he was inviting me to go to the temple for puja and meditation. Given the chance, I'd definitely do meditation...there's just no opportunity for it here in my hostel!! So I went out with him after lunch......to Bright Hill Temple in Bishan. It was GREAT time...because after a short puja and meditation and after we walked around the place we found a place to study! it's called 'mug' here....and I might be using it ofter in the future..even if I feel the term is used rather inappropriately. We left at 3.50 coz they were closing the room we were in....and we went to Junction8....a shopping complex right above Bishan MRT. Ended up walking around discussing dhamma stuff.....haha....and I saw my classmate Eric and my friend Kuan Chin...fascinating turn out...

Once we were bored of the place Siang Ee invited me to his school to take a look-see!! And it was so cool!! Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College are.....humongous!! Huge and beautiful!! But I still prefer AJ....their buildings look like very nice office buildings...I'd feel a bit peculiar in the beginning if I were there... The only thing I am remotely envious about is RJ has a PIANO ensemble!! ARGH!!! WHy doesn't AJ have one!?! Oh well...dukkha. lol. I wnt back after that to mug into the night....sighs

On Wednesday it was another happy day.....class outing! We played pool in toa payoh in the morning (it was really fun, my first experience) . Desmond was real good in teaching me and Ru Xing...and it was quite fun as we started playing in pairs.....so it was me and Ru Xing partnering with different people. We cracked up every time some one's ball decided to do a fly over.....so I seroiously had a great time. Man I love my class! After that we sat in McDonalds eating ice cream...25 cents per cone! mmm! Then it was off to Suntec...where we didn't manage to catch a movie...sigh....Then we went bowling in Marina Bay!!! Real awesome!! Cheap and FUN FUN FUN!!! After that we had sea food....another great time...will elaborate on that later...going out again now! Yay!!

'I dreamt that I was composing a symphony....I had gone to my table to begin writing it down when I suddenly reflected: "If I write this part I shall let myself be carried on to write the rest. The natural tendency of my mind to expand the material is sure to make it very long...When the symphony is finished I shall be weak enough to allow my copyist to copy it out, and thus immediately incur a debt of 1,000 or 1,200 francs. Once the parts are copied I shall be harassed by the temptation to have the work performed; I shall give a concert in which, as is sure to be the case in these days, the receipts will barely cover half the expenses; I shall lose what I have not got; I shall want the necessaries of life for my poor invalid, and shall have no money for either myself or for my son's keep on board ship!"...I threw down my pen saying, "Bah! I shall have forgotten the symphony tomorrow." But the following night the obstinate symphony again presented itself...'
- Berlioz writing about a nightmare he had during the 1850s
