Hi All!!

Sunday has been one of the greatest of my days in Singapore!!! Hooray!!

Let’s describe my day! ^-^ I woke up this morning and traveled to Mangala Temple on Jalan Eunos, where I accidentally got off the bus 2 stopd before my actual stop. No worries, I waited in another bus and hopped on to find my friends on it! So we attended puja and the dhamma classes, after which we had a superb lunch!! I was even more thrilled to hear that Venerable K. Sri Dhammananda, Chief High Priest of Malaysia and Singapore would be speaking in the evening!!

So after lunch I brought my friends over for a short while to Oldham Hall before leaving with Adrian (a scholar from DJ) for out ASEAN Committee “Junior Treat Senior” in Novena Secret Recipe. At 4.50pm Adrian, Siang Ee and I left for Chief Reverend’s talk in Mangala Temple. We got there just in time for the talk, and I really felt at home when I listened to Chief’s speech. When the three of us were traveling back to our respective hostels via MRT we had a very enjoyable discussion (it actually began in Secret Recipe). Made me realize how much I missed dhamma discussions. Well I’ll be going to the temple weekly from now on, with Nian Ning, Mae Yue, Adrian, Siang Ee and Kok Hou. Hopefully we can establish a youth group in Mangala Temple itself to cater to the needs of the Buddhist youth in Singapore! Now THAT would be fun!! Anyway it was a great day, coupled with the fact that I have NO school this week!! Whoopee!! Its due to the release of the O Level results, they were released today! Special congratulations abound for all my friends who did well, Kell, who got 7, Kuan Chin who got 8….and the rest who haven’t told me….and remember that it is not the quality of your results by which people judge you; but by the quality of your character…
