& your soul is all i ever wanted

Rain seems to be pouring down from the heavens an awful lot nowadays, and I am taking this as a good thing...which I'll 'splain now. Last Saturday I accompanied my mom to Brickfields Maha Vihara (BMV) which is a Buddhist temple in KL, for those who have no idea what I am talking about, and yes I do happen to be a buddhist. Well anyway there was a dana being held by an aunty who has just recovered from something, so I encouraged my mom to attend, and tagged along as I wanted to ask for blessings and make my aspirations. Erm, to all those who are feeling super-blur you can always ask me to elaborate when you see me. Anyway, it has rained everyday since I visited Brickfields...and according to my friend Seetha, for Indians, rain is very auspicious, for example, rain on the day of someones marriage indicates that it is a very happy match. SO the point of that very long elaboration is I think the wishes and aspirations I made last Satuday can come true! If I put in enough effort of course.. ;) Haha...so much for that...Anyway I'm blogging at the moment 'cause I'm a lil stressed and feel light headed, so I need to get my creative juices flowing again, and also to release my pent up stress. Oh yes, the newsworthy item I have to mention today is the documentary I just watched earlier, on Discovery, called 'The Assasination of King Tut' . Its a good watch for egyptology lovers like me (i'm not sure if that word exists) and I managed to glean more info for my very limited knowledge of ancient egypt. Nonetheless, I have made the decision that living in ancient times may not be so appealing to me anymore, and living as a member of royalty? Possibly even less appealing now. Maybe I should fantasize being born in a high class early nineteenth century english family, i've always wanted to try those incredible fashions and stuff in the era of English-dominance in the world! Okay Chong is pestering me to wrap up this post, he wants to read it...I'll add more on Friday! Hopefully my trial results......jaa ne! ;>

'I dreamt that I was composing a symphony....I had gone to my table to begin writing it down when I suddenly reflected: "If I write this part I shall let myself be carried on to write the rest. The natural tendency of my mind to expand the material is sure to make it very long...When the symphony is finished I shall be weak enough to allow my copyist to copy it out, and thus immediately incur a debt of 1,000 or 1,200 francs. Once the parts are copied I shall be harassed by the temptation to have the work performed; I shall give a concert in which, as is sure to be the case in these days, the receipts will barely cover half the expenses; I shall lose what I have not got; I shall want the necessaries of life for my poor invalid, and shall have no money for either myself or for my son's keep on board ship!"...I threw down my pen saying, "Bah! I shall have forgotten the symphony tomorrow." But the following night the obstinate symphony again presented itself...'
- Berlioz writing about a nightmare he had during the 1850s
